Lurchery Life
Being a pointy dog there is a certain expectation of speed and energy. There's always those comments about "I bet they need a lot of exercise" etc etc.
It's true occasionally do a bit of deerhound stalking :
But this is needs to be followed quickly by a long rest...
Or the odd bout of ragger tugging
Followed by some intense sofa surfing...
Then when we get together we can go NUTS
But only for about 30 seconds, then we need a long lie down...
It's tough being a lurcher.

Hmmmmm... lurchery life seems to be a lot like retriever life. Who would have thunk it?!
Geeze I'm tired just watching you guys!
Cleo - love your work, but was that a bit of drool I saw flying in the action shot :) hee hee.
You have the most adorable big eyes.

can we go stay with you? we jus need a smaller sofa.
Skinny-long-legged JRs are obviously just miniature lurchers... oh yes...
They're wonderful! I think when the time comes to get a second dog to keep Tilly company - it'll be a lurcher... and the third will be another terrier..... and the fourth will be....oh gawd
You guys take such lovely snaps. I nominated your top picture for photo of the month. My sissy does that to me. Our chases don't last long, though.
We have some pals who are getting their first dog. Your blog has convinced them to go lurcher. They claim they will only have one. We will see.
